At the end of each 9 week grading period, the Enrichment Team celebrates the success and positive behavior of their students by holding an Enrichment Reward Day. Students meet together as an entire grade level to enjoy a special movie or activity and leave with a small treat to enjoy later.
In the past we have enjoyed a movie in the media center, played games outside by the PE pavilion and songs.

Yellow Notes
Yellow notes are a behavior management tool that the Enrichment team utilizes to deter unwanted behavior and promote positive behavior when attending any enrichment class. If a student is doing something inappropriate the teacher will give them a verbal warning. If the teacher has to speak to the student again, they are given a timeout to think about how they can respond appropriately in the future. If the behavior continues the student will receive a note home to be signed by their parent/guardian (this is their "yellow note").
Yellow notes are given to the classroom teacher and sent home. These are required to be signed by a parent or guardian and returned to school ASAP. A copy is kept for the enrichment teacher as well as the classroom teacher.

Students who receive 3 or more yellow notes during a 9 week grading period are not allowed to join their peers at Enrichment Reward Day. Parents will be notified if their child has received 3 yellow notes. Instead of enjoying enrichment reward day, students who receive 3 or more yellow notes will sit quietly in a separate area with an adult and work on a grade level appropriate writing assignment during the enrichment class.
If a student receives 4-5 yellow notes in a 9 week grading period they will be given a Thursday detention for the 4th and an additional Thursday detention for the 5th. More than 5 yellow notes in a 9 week grading period will require a conference with the enrichment team and parents/guardians.
